I’ve been reading a lot and hearing a lot about how we could be about to enter into a massive Economic Boom, in the style of the ‘Roaring 20s’ which was the period running up to the Wall Street Crash in 1929 and when everything went a bit crazy after World War 1 and the Spanish Flu etc.
It is quite an attractive story and it would be very nice if it comes true, but as with anything I hear regarding Investment and the Economy, I always ask myself “Is this true? Is this likely to happen?” etc. In essence, when it comes to your money you must believe nothing and question everything.

I’m typing this first chunk of text on Saturday Night, and from what I am hearing it looks like Grandpa Biden will be the New President and with any luck the craziness of the Trump Administration will now go away. Although of course, none of the division within the Country will be resolved and it is remarkable how the US is split 50/50 down the middle, in a similar way to how the UK was over the Brexit Vote.
Of course nobody can know what the next 4 years will bring, although what we do know is that the American Public have somehow managed to orchestrate a Political Machine that will be pretty powerless and unable to get almost anything done. With the Republicans still holding power in the Upper House, then it will be quite a challenge for the Democrats to get much new Legislation through and on the plus side for Markets, it should mean that the more extreme Left-wing policies should hit the buffers.
My intention when I am starting this late on Saturday night is to do something a bit different with the ‘Stocks & Markets’ Blog this weekend and if I can get cracking on this it should contain plenty of blurb about the Markets and what has happened and is likely to happen, and also more on my Strategy. If this plays out as I would like then you could be reading this on Sunday and I will issue a separate Charts Blog late on Sunday night and that one will obviously look at both long-term and short-term Technical factors and I won’t be including any other stuff in these Blogs.
Last week was obviously highly dramatic and more than a little scary and the speed of the drop was utterly bonkers and I understand it was one of the quickest falls from a Peak ever. This in itself is a technically worrying development and hardly hints at strength but I won’t talk too much about the Charting stuff in this Blog. I will try and break what I see as the key factors down into several headings. |
Stocks & Markets WheelieBlogsThese tend to be more Markets and Stocks related and timely - the Blog Page on the Main WheelieDealer Website has the 'Educational' stuff (well that's the theory anyway !!). Archives
